Strawberry Shortcake

I like to use a more favorable cake when making the Strawberry Shortcake.  I use a super rich buttery pound cake that mimics the old fashioned 7 up cake.  The cake is drenched with a strawberry puree.  Add fresh strawberries and homemade whip cream.  "Bam" now you have the most favorable Strawberry Shortcake you have ever had.
